Testimonies about Baptist High School
The blinding dazzle of the Purple colour submerged in a background of sparkling white brings only one image to my mind, that of Baptist High School, Lokoja. Growing up, it was the school everyone who was anyone attended, it spelt affluence and prestige and it was an honor to be accepted into such a school. It boasted of state of the art technology, a rich library with an array of varied collection of books, sports facilities and cozy classrooms. Grounded in the knowledge and teachings of Christ which is hinged on love and peace, Baptist High School opens its arms to all and sundry without discrimination or prejudice.
Despite the strong wave of civilization and change, BHS has tenaciously upheld an unbeatable moral standard that instills in the students the right amount of virtues necessary to survive in the larger society dainted with decadence. In her warm bossom we created memories of uncontrollable laughter, undiluted joy, friendships and painted pictures of history that would last in our hearts and on our lips. BHS my Alma mata, played a vital role in shaping the future I now live in, with godly and supportive teachers molding each according to his capacity and ability. From the harmony of discordant voices of school children singing from the school hymnals during assemblies, many found a path in music. From the debate and literary society, some like me became writers and lawyers. For every branch of life we tilted to, we have our roots proudly established on the soil of Baptist High School, Lokoja.

Baptist High School Lokoja, is the best amongst schools in kogi state. Yes I can say that confidently having acquired my entire secondary school education there. This is a school that exposes students to academic challenges in terms of competitions and quizzes of course as far as kogi state is concerned BHS students are known for their outstanding performance in competitions, why won't they do well, when the teachers are willing and able to teach selflessly.I must admit that the practical I learnt in the various BHS laboratories have been helpful to me even now in the university. The schools dedication to inculcation of morals is overwhelming. Also the social and sporting sectors are not lacking in any form. To the glory of God I passed through this great institution with distinctions In my O'levels and a UTME score of 311 which ushered me to study Medicine and Surgery in the premier university, the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo. State I count myself lucky to be an alumnus.

My time at Baptist High School was a memorable and unforgettable one, for many reasons.
At BHS, I was mentored, taught, corrected and instructed in the best of ways that has helped me in achieving spiritual, personal and career progress. My being a lawyer today is greatly due to the efforts of highly experienced and motivated teachers at BHS who taught me into becoming a success in life.
I obtained valuable leadership and managerial experiences and skills through the privileged position of the Head Boy for the 2009/10 academic session and other engaging responsibilities to which I was called.
BHS is a place to gain and grow academically, personally and in moral virtues. The school served as a home away from home each day I was in school. This was primarily due to the parent-like care shown to me and my colleagues by staffs of the school.
BHS equally exposed me to extra-curricular and sporting activities like Badminton, Volleyball, Football and many more with which I and my mates were able to relax after rigorous class sessions.
I passionately recommend BHS to all current and future secondary school students that are looking for a school to gain sound teaching and mentorship to achieve phenomenal career success.
